Golf course irrigation can be a complex science, and when customers expect perfect conditions day after day, every drop of water means that much more.
Spatial Adjust™, Toro’s new soil moisture software, helps superintendents deliver more consistent playing conditions while reducing guesswork and manual adjustments. This revolutionary technology is part of a partnership with TerraRad, and is now available to courses around the country.
Spatial Adjust integrates with Lynx® Central Control to apply irrigation adjustments based on moisture data collected by TerraRad turfRad sensors. The system uses this data to generate recommendations that help superintendents make more informed irrigation decisions. It’s the only irrigation control software system that provides recommended irrigation adjustments that superintendents can review and apply directly within Lynx Central Control. It not only saves time, helps to cut back on operational costs and guesswork while creating optimal turf condition.
While the innovation behind the technology is advanced, the application is simple and user friendly. It works by placing TerraRad’s turfRad smart sensor on Toro equipment, and while the equipment is in use, turfRad sensors collect field data, Spatial Adjust analyzes it, and Lynx Central Control enables quick implementation of recommended changes.
The system is designed with complete control in mind. While it provides powerful recommendations, superintendents can still set or customize specific moisture levels and override the system if needed. Over time, these readings and recommendations give superintendents a full view of how their turf is performing year over year, allowing them to more accurately predict conditions and needs. The result is more consistent playing conditions, fewer wet or dry spots, and improved turf health across the course.
