Steve Fiorillo, head superintendent of Hawk Hollow Golf Properties in the Lansing, Mich., area, says he decided to make the switch to the Toro^® Greensmaster^® TriFlex^™ 3300 riding greensmower about a year after it first hit the market.

Easy on Mechanics … and Operators

“It’s really a good mower,” Fiorillo explains. “We’ve had it for a couple seasons now, and we really like the ease of maintenance for the mechanic. It’s very easy to get to the reels and get them off quickly to sharpen them.”

Fiorillo says ease of operation for the operators is another big advantage of the TriFlex 3300. “Transporting it from green to green seems like it’s a lot quicker, so they like that,” he says. “It speeds up the operation. The TriFlex reel is also similar to the ones on our Flex^™ walk mowers, so the cut is a bit better as well.”

Fiorillo and his crew maintain 63 holes with a fleet of Toro equipment including Reelmaster^® 5200 and 5210 fairway mowers, Greensmaster^® 3100 greensmowers and a Groundsmaster^® 3500-D with Sidewinder^® cutting units. His advice to courses looking for a new mower? “If you’re considering different brands, drive them all to see what kind of cut you get and how they operate,” he recommends. “You want to see them in person before you make a purchase.”
