The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) hosted the inaugural Women’s Leadership Academy Nov. 7 – 9 at GCSAA headquarters in Lawrence, Kansas. The two-and-a-half-day professional development event served as an opportunity for future industry leaders to network, learn and empower their futures.
Attendees participated in a variety of educational opportunities, including a keynote speech from Suzy Whaley. The president of Golf Nation and former president of the PGA of America, Whaley spoke on her experiences in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Other educational opportunities included roundtable discussions, group activities aimed at skill development, networking and more.
Toro is proud to partner with the GCSAA and looks forward to continuing to support their efforts in breaking down barriers for female turfgrass professionals.
