A chance to see Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California, is a bucket-list item for many in the golf community. This past January, Toro helped five turf professionals realize that dream in the lead-up to the Farmers Insurance Open on Jan. 24 – 27.
Each volunteer is a Toro customer who was nominated by a local Toro distributor. Volunteers helped the grounds crew with daily tasks like data collection, hand watering, bunker preparation, divot repair and other duties before and during the tournament.
To consistently produce top-tier playing conditions, the crew at Torrey Pines utilizes Toro® equipment and irrigation. This year, they were able to utilize one of Toro’s newest offerings: The Toro Vista®.
Built for work and designed for comfort, theVista provides smooth, efficient transportation across any property. The Vista proved to be invaluable when transporting crews and equipment from green to tee or from one part of the course to another. Other features include:
- HyperCell® lithium-ion Battery or EFI gas engine to power 4-, 6- or 8-passenger shuttles.
- A sturdy frame specifically designed to handle the anticipated weight of passengers and cargo.
- Ample storage, legroom, independent suspension and ergonomic design for a comfortable ride.
