The 2023 GCSAA Golf Championship will take place Feb. 4 – 6, 2023, in Orlando, FL. This event kicks off the annual GCSAA Conference and Trade Show and allows GCSAA members to play in one of the country’s largest amateur events.
Schedule of Events
This golf tournament involves four events, meaning there is an opportunity for every GCSAA member to participate. The lineup has been designed to fit into most schedules. It includes:
Saturday, Feb. 4: Four-Ball and Welcome Reception
Sunday, Feb. 5: Fun Scramble (including the addition of a women’s flight), the Golf Classic (day one), the National Championship (day one), a Par-3 Shootout presented by Toro and the 19th Hole Reception
Monday, Feb. 6: Golf Classic (day two) and the National Championship (day two)
Toro’s Involvement in GCSAA Golf Championship
Toro has been the presenting sponsor of the GCSAA Golf Championship for 29 consecutive years. This tournament is the perfect blend of networking and fun, making it a perfect opportunity for Toro to showcase some of the things they do best.
“The GCSAA Golf Championship is always a fun way to meet other GCSAA members and create relationships that last a lifetime,” said Bill Irving, a 24-year GCSAA member and Director of Agronomy at Wolf Creek Golf Links in Olathe, Kansas. “I’ve built many important relationships over the years that have benefited me and my course, and they started at the tournament.”
New in 2023
For the first time, the 2023 GCSAA Golf Championship, presented by Toro, will include a women’s flight as part of the one-day scramble and the new Toro-sponsored par-3 shootout. Also new this year, GCSAA will honor the National Champion and other winners on Monday, February 6, at the GCSAA Welcome Reception presented in partnership with Syngenta.
To help enhance the excitement during play, the tournament will feature three fun contests as part of the Four-Ball, Scramble and Golf Classic. Winners of the Closest to the Pin, Straight Drive and Longest Drive contests will each win a $50 GCSAA gift certificate.
