Take a Closer Look at the Reelmaster® 5010-H Hybrid Fairway Mower

Can a mower really save fuel, cut operating costs and reduce your carbon footprint while still providing sufficient power for demanding mowing conditions? It can if it’s Toro’s Reelmaster® 5010-H hybrid fairway mower.

Plenty of Power

The key to achieving these savings without compromising on quality of cut is Toro’s patented PowerMatch technology. It enables the Reelmaster 5010-H fairway mower to match the power generated to the power required for the vehicle and the cutting units based on the mowing conditions.

The PowerMatch system pairs a 24.8 hp Kubota® diesel engine with an inline motor generator and a self-charging 48-volt battery pack. When hilly terrain or more challenging mowing conditions demand more power, the battery pack takes the load of the cutting units away from the engine, leaving more available horsepower for the traction circuit.

In more extreme situations where even more horsepower may be required, the batteries take on the cutting unit load and send the reserve battery power back through the motor generator – boosting engine power to the equivalent of over 40 horsepower.

During typical mowing conditions, roughly 70% of the time, the Reelmaster 5010-H fairway mower has ample power from the diesel engine to support both traction and cutting. This allows for plenty of time to automatically keep batteries charged and the system functioning optimally. The result is plenty of power – both when and where it is most needed.

Save Time and Costs

In addition to efficiency, the PowerMatch system delivers measurable bottom-line savings. Depending on terrain and cutting conditions, you could see an average fuel savings of 20% compared to a conventional fairway mower and even more when you choose to run in Economy mode.

Toro’s unique design also reduces maintenance time by eliminating all of the cutting unit’s hydraulic components. More than 100 potential hydraulic leak points were removed from the cutting unit system by switching from hydraulic cutting unit motors to electric cutting unit motors. The parts and labor savings from reduced hydraulic maintenance over the life of the mower add to your savings, making the Reelmaster 5010-H a budget friendly choice.

Easy Maintenance

Efficiency and labor savings are important, but you shouldn’t have to sacrifice power to get them. Rest assured the Reelmaster 5010-H fairway mower has more than ample available horsepower, with the PowerMatch system. Introduced in 2015, the Reelmaster 5010-H has proven it has the power to perform in the most rigorous golf course conditions.

In addition, the Reelmaster 5010-H has an InfoCenter display that makes maintenance and diagnostics quicker and easier for technicians. The onboard LCD display provides system information, alerts, service reminders, diagnostics, fault codes, and precise vehicle and cutting unit adjustments.
