As the industry\u0092s first and only fairway mower with a true hybrid drive system, the Reelmaster 5010-H is the perfect example of Turfonomics at work.<\/p>\n

The key to achieving these savings without compromising on quality of cut is Toro\u0092s new patented PowerMatch\u0099 technology<\/a>. It enables the Reelmaster 5010-H to match the power generated to the power required for the vehicle and the cutting units based on the mowing conditions.<\/p>\n

The PowerMatch system pairs a 24.8 hp Kubota\u00ae<\/sup> diesel engine (compliant with Tier 4 regulations) with an inline motor generator and a self-charging 48-volt battery pack. When hilly terrain or more challenging mowing conditions demand more power, the battery pack takes the load of the cutting units away from the engine, leaving more available horsepower for the traction circuit.<\/p>\n

In more extreme situations where even more horsepower may be required for verticutting or scalping, the batteries take on the cutting unit load and send the reserve battery power back through the motor generator \u0097 boosting engine power to the equivalent of over 40 horsepower.<\/p>\n

During typical mowing conditions, roughly 70% of the time, the Reelmaster 5010-H has ample power from the diesel engine to support both traction and cutting. Beyond these features, the new Reelmaster 5010-H also features Plug \u0091n\u0092 Mow technology, which allows it to accept 5-inch or 7-inch diameter DPA cutting units in 8 or 11 blade configurations.
